This work was born from the desire to preserve the naturalness of the wood. I cut it lengthwise to reveal all its inner beauty – lines, layers and soft color changes. The edges remained as nature created them – knobby, imperfect, but real.
The top is covered with glass, which gives it lightness and allows you to see the entire texture of the wood from above. At one end, I attached a round plexiglass leg – it brings a bit of order and balance to this natural, living surface.
I wanted to create an object that would be both practical and have its own character – like a bridge between nature and human handiwork.
